Our Vision

We believe the Christian life is a journey. Like every journey, there are steps to be taken. No matter where you are on your journey, whether you are a spiritual seeker or have had a relationship with God for years, the next step can always be taken. New Way will help you find your next step as you discover Power, Peace, and Purpose.

  • Know God: Our goal is for everyone to know God, and we do this through our Sunday services. We welcome all, saying, "You belong before you believe.
  • Find Freedom: Every believer needs freedom—freedom from sin, from bondage, and from the past. At New Way, we help you find freedom in the context of meaningful relationships that encourage growth and victory.
  • Discover Purpose: God has a specific plan for your life. We help you discover that purpose and show you how it can impact others. You will receive specific information about specific ministries designed to connect you to the church and your purpose. The Growth Track is a series of four classes designed to connect you to the church and your purpose.
  • Make a Difference: We believe that you were designed to make a difference. At New Way, we serve God by serving others. Through the Dream Team, you can use your gifts and passions to impact lives and be part of something greater. The Dream Team is the collective heart and hands of New Way.

Doctrines of New Way Church

  • Doctrine of God - We believe in one God, eternally existing as one essence and three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each person is fully, equally, and eternally God, yet there is one God. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are worthy of the same worship, honor, and praise. The Christian faith centers on the Trinitarian nature of God (Matt. 28:18-20). We believe the Father is the Creator, the Son is fully God and man, and the Holy Spirit gives life and unites believers to Christ.
  • Doctrine of Revelation - We believe that God has revealed Himself through Jesus Christ, the Scriptures, and creation. Jesus Christ is the perfect revelation of God, being the image of the invisible God (Col. 1:15). The Scriptures, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, inerrant Word of God, providing all that is necessary for faith and practice (2 Tim. 3:16). Through the Word, believers are equipped to follow Christ and proclaim the gospel (Rom. 10:14-17).
  • Doctrine of Creation and Providence - We believe that God created the world from nothing and governs all things at all times (Gen. 1:1-2). God’s creation is the result of His love and wisdom, and He sustains the universe by His power (Col. 1:17). Creation was good, and God continually upholds and governs all things.
  • Doctrine of Humanity - We believe humanity is created in the image of God, possessing inherent dignity and worth (Gen. 1:27). All people, male and female, are called to represent God in His creation, reflecting His nature and authority. Humanity is made for a relationship with God and one another, and men and women complement each other in the covenant of marriage, establishing the God-ordained pattern for sexual relations.
  • Doctrine of Sin - We believe sin has fractured all things, leaving humanity in desperate need of salvation (Gen. 3). Through Adam’s fall, all people inherit a sinful nature and are under condemnation (Rom. 3:9-20). Humanity’s rebellion against God leads to spiritual death, and all are in bondage to sin and Satan (Eph. 2:1-3).
  • Doctrine of Salvation - We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No one can enter God’s kingdom without being born again (John 3:5-8). God’s grace grants salvation through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, and those who believe are declared righteous and become children of God (Heb. 10:19-25). Regeneration, or the new birth, transforms believers, giving them a new nature and the desire to live for God, breaking the power of sin (Gal. 2:20).
  • Distinctive: Sovereignty of God in Salvation - We believe that salvation is entirely the work of God. Before the foundation of the world, God chose His people, setting His love and grace upon them (Rom. 8:29-30). Faith is a gift from God, given according to His will, ensuring no one can boast (Eph. 2:1-3). Apart from God's intervention, humanity cannot choose to worship or pursue righteousness on its own (Rom. 3). God's sovereignty governs salvation from start to finish.
  • Doctrine of the Church - We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to reflect God's glory. Through His Word and Spirit, God forms the Church, gathering people into fellowship with Christ (1 Cor. 12:12-31). The Church exists to worship and glorify God; its mission is to make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:18-20). This is accomplished through worship, prayer, teaching, fellowship, spiritual gifts, and gospel proclamation locally and globally.
  • Distinctive: Gifts of the Holy Spirit - We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as described in the New Testament, are still active in the life of the Church today. These gifts did not cease with the New Testament's completion or the apostles' death (1 Cor. 12:1-11).
  • Distinctive: Baptism by Immersion - We believe baptism, as seen in the New Testament, follows conversion and is performed by immersion in water. This act symbolizes the believer’s union with Christ in His death and resurrection, signifying the death of their old life and new life in Him (Rom. 6:1-14).
  • Distinctive: Marriage - We believe marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, instituted by God and publicly entered before Him. This Biblical definition of marriage, as affirmed in Scripture (Matt. 19:4-6), is the only definition recognized by our church. We uphold this view and prohibit any use of church assets or property in ways that contradict or imply support for alternative definitions of marriage.
  • Doctrine of Resurrection and Consummation of the Kingdom of God - We believe in the future, physical, and visible return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead. This will include the resurrection of the dead, the glorification of believers, and the judgment of the just and unjust. Christ will establish His eternal kingdom in the new heavens and new earth, where the righteous will reign with Him forever, and creation will proclaim God’s glory (Rev. 20:7-15; 21:1-5). Our Code.
